Harleen Deol catch
Harleen Deol catch: Indian cricketer Harleen Deol recently pulled off what is being touted as one of the "best" catches in the history of cricket ever. During the first T20 match between India and England, Deol caught rival side's player Amy Ellen Jones, who stood at 43 off 26 balls, at long-off position. Deol pulled off a stunning catch on a 19th over ball by right arm bowler Shikha Pandey.

Harleen Deol stopped Jones from hitting the ball for a six by catching it very close to the long-off boundary. However, when she lost her balance due to momentum, Deol tossed the ball in the air, stepped outside the rope and then dove back again into the field to catch the ball mid air. Unfortunately Deol's heroics couldn't save the game for India, as the play was cut short by rain and eventually ruled by Duckworth Lewis method.

Today though, Deol's catch is all that the internet is talking about. Cricketers and fans alike have hailed it as one of the best cricket catches ever. Former Indian batsmen VVS Laxman called is "As good a catch one will ever see on a cricket field," further adding that it was an "absolutely top class" by Deol.

"This is easily one of the best fielding moments ever!" tweeted Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia.

"Genuinely one of the greatest fielding moments I've ever seen, across all forms of cricket!!" musician Vishal Dadlani wrote on Twitter.

Industrialist Anand Mahindra too hailed Deol for her catch on Twitter, writing, "Nope. Not possible. Couldn’t have happened. Must be some special effects trick. What? It was real? Ok, move over Gal Gadot; the real WonderWoman is here..."

From calling it a "galvanic" catch to hailing Deol's work on the field as one of the best piece of fielding in the recent times, here are some other reactions to Harleen Deol's catch on the Internet:
