However, she was determined to start afresh with a new chapter in her life. Thejaswi, a content creator, was able to provide a newfound spark for Aadya and herself. Along their journey to happiness came Yash, whose support kindled Thejaswi's ability to re-love even despite challenges. Here is Thejaswi's story.
"I was 23 and 3 months pregnant when I lost my husband. My mother-in-law cursed me. I was shattered and did not know what to do with my life. The thought of raising a baby alone was killing me. Everyone around me advised me to remarry for the sake of my child because ‘a woman is nothing without a husband’.
I was too young to understand life. All my mind could gather was suicidal thoughts. But, for the sake of my child, I decided to give life a chance and started therapy. Time passed, therapy worked to some extent and I survived the next 6 months of my pregnancy. But, that Friday morning when the nurse let me hold my baby girl in my arms, it was magical. The only thought that crossed my brain was, ‘Thejaswi, if need be you have to fight the world for her!’ That was it! I raised my daughter, Aadya as a single mother ever since.
But as they say, life has its own plan for you. After a few years, during the lockdown, my childhood friend Yash sent me a text. It was shocking to hear from him as we had a huge fight in high school and since then we never tried to make things right. But, that day, we decided to keep the past behind us and after the lockdown, we met over coffee for the sake of old times.
None of us had any intention to take things further, all we had in mind was to revive our friendship. As time passed, we fell in love. But, getting married was like a big step for me. I gave this a lot of thought because I was worried for my Aadya. I wasn’t sure till the very end if Yash would accept her later. People advised that I should leave her with her grandparents.
Finally, after a lot of thinking, we tied the knot. After a few days, we went out for a get-together and my eyes were filled with tears when Yash said to his friends, ‘Hey guys, meet my family!’ Ever since we have been together, Yash and Aadya have shared a beautiful bond. I’d often hear about green flags, but now I am living with one."
