"Look at that guy in white shirt. He is so cute', I told my sister in the flight. Even he was trying his best to catch a glimpse of me whenever he could. I was in class XI and we were going to Singapore for a vacation. 'What if we end up staying in the same hotel for the next five days', I thought to myself. I never had a boyfriend before and I was looking forward to meet my soulmate on the trip. I reached the hotel with my nani and sister and realised that his family was staying in the same hotel. I was on cloud nine. I wanted to talk to him but was shy.

Exchange of letters

The next day, I received a handwritten letter. 'Your smile is very beautiful', he wrote. I couldn't stop myself from replying to him. For the next five days, we had been communicating through handwritten letters only. On the last day of the trip, I was dying to know if he had a girlfriend. To my surprise, he shared his contact number with me and asked me to contact him after we returned.
I used to look forward to my meetings with him. He was very caring and understanding. He had a solution for every problem I faced. I knew my future lay with him - Ankita

I didn't have my personal phone at that time. So I reached out to him on Facebook and Orkut. We started chatting and I felt a deep connection between us. From what we did at school to what we ate, from what we liked to how we imagined our future, we would discuss everything. Eventually, he proposed to me and I said 'yes'.

Getting married

I hid my relationship from my parents for a very long time because I wasn't sure if they would approve of it. I kept telling them that I was single but continued talking to the love of my life. I used to look forward to my meetings with him. He was very caring and understanding. He had a solution for every problem I faced. I knew my future lay with him.

When talks about my marriage started taking place in the family, we told our parents about our relationship. They could see how serious we were for each other and agreed to our marriage. We got married this year in February. 2 months into the marriage, our love for each other has only grown. From accidentally seeing him on a flight to having him as my husband, life really made me believe in fairytales"
