Finding Work-Life Harmony Isn't Just About Juggling Schedules: CashKaro Co-founder

My journey towards work-life harmony has been an evolution. Having undergone a kidney transplant, I am acutely aware of the fragility of life with resilience, and a supportive partnership, particularly with my husband, Rohan Bhargava, co-founder at CashKaro.

Finding the right harmony between work and life isn't about juggling schedules— it’s about fostering a holistic approach that prioritises personal well-being and meaningful connections. My journey towards work-life harmony has been an evolution—a blend of introspection, resilience, and a supportive partnership, particularly with my husband, Rohan Bhargava.

For me, work-life harmony kicks off with a solid morning routine. I'm a big believer in starting the day right. I wake up early to soak in the peaceful moments before the day gets crazy. That's when I set intentions for the day, repeat positive affirmations, and visualise my goals. It's like giving myself a pep talk to start the day feeling confident and positive.

Affirmations, for me, are not mere words but a mantra that fuels my day. They serve as a guiding light, instilling confidence, and positivity. Visualising my goals helps manifest them into reality—I envision success not as a distant dream but as a tangible reality waiting to be realised.

My mornings also involve expressing gratitude—for the gift of life, health, and the myriad of small blessings that often go unnoticed. Having undergone a kidney transplant, I am acutely aware of the fragility of life. Each morning, I express thanks to the universe for the gift of good health, which has allowed me to embrace life fully. It's a reminder to make the most out of life.

In the realm of business, my partnership with Rohan has been instrumental. We complement each other with our unique strengths and expertise. Collaboration is our cornerstone—we respect each other’s opinions but entrust decisions to the domain of our expertise. This balance ensures a harmonious workflow and nurtures an environment of mutual respect and growth.

Weekends are for breaks, dedicated to spending quality time with our loved ones. Family and friends mean the world to us, and nurturing these relationships is key to balancing work and life. These moments recharge us, preparing us for the week ahead.

Travelling is another aspect that binds us together. Discovering new places refreshes us and strengthens our bond. We strategically plan our travels, synchronizing them with our work commitments, so we can enjoy exploring the world side by side.

Our shared passion for building CashKaro has forged a deep understanding between Rohan and me. While this often means discussing work during odd hours or vacations, it doesn't bother us; it's more like an exciting brainstorming session. But we also respect when one of us needs a break from work talk. Honesty and openness help us navigate these moments, balancing our enthusiasm for the business with personal time. We've learned to set boundaries and switch off from work mode when needed, maintaining a healthy equilibrium between our professional and personal lives. Ultimately, this shared passion not only fuels our business growth but also strengthens our relationship.

This journey has given us the opportunity to do something amazing together, the two of us, putting in the work and the commitment towards a common goal. Starting a business with my husband showed me how two heads truly are better than one. It gave us the chance to negotiate those tricky business decisions together, talking it out and pooling ideas.

In the pursuit of work-life harmony, adaptability plays a pivotal role. Life is dynamic, and our approach must resonate with this dynamism. Flexibility allows us to navigate the ebb and flow of life, embracing change as an opportunity for growth rather than a challenge.

Life isn’t always predictable, right? That's why being flexible is key. We roll with the punches, adapting to changes as they come. It's about being present in the moment, whether at work or hanging out with loved ones. Work isn’t just a separate thing for me—it's part of life, adding to its fun and meaning.

In the end, work-life harmony is like an art form I'm constantly trying to perfect. It's about mixing passion, purpose, and personal connections into a beautiful blend. It's not just about doing well in work or personal life; it's about feeling fulfilled in both. That's the real sweet spot, isn't it?
