Captain Preet Chandi, the Indian-origin Sikh army officer broke the world record for the furthest unsupported solo polar ski expedition by any woman.

Reportedly, Chandi covered 1,485 kilometres in 70 days and 16 hours and broke the record for the longest solo, unsupported, and unassisted polar expedition by any woman in history.

Cop Shoots Female Colleague, Kills Self

A police constable shot and killed his female colleague and later shot himself and killed himself. The police identified the woman constable as Amandeep Kaur and the male constable as Gursewak Singh.

According to information from police sources, Kaur was going home on a two-wheeler when Singh hit her scooter with his car and fired at her five times. He fled the spot and shot himself inside the card.

Auto Rickshaw Driver Arrested For Rape Of 70-year-Old Woman

A 23-year-old auto-rickshaw driver was arrested in the Cachar district of Assam for allegedly abducting and raping a 70-year-old widow.

The widow was walking home after attending a wedding when she was abducted. He confessed to abducting and raping the woman multiple times.
