Women Sue Twitter For Discrimination

Two former employees of Elon Musk's Twitter are suing the company for allegedly being discriminatory in their layoff ratio. Soon after owning the platform, Musk fired a large number of employees with three-month severance pay. But there have been allegations that the layoff was gender biased. A few weeks back two photos went viral on the internet which showed a prominent difference between Twitter's male-female ratio before and after Musk's takeover. According to reports, Carolina Bernal Strifling and Willow Wren Turkal are suing Twitter on behalf of several other former female employees as they claim, "57% of female employees were laid off on Nov. 4, compared to 47% of male employees, citing a spreadsheet".

Celine Dion Suffering From Incurable Neuro Disease

Canadian Singer Celine Dion revealed that she is suffering from a rare neurological disorder called Stiff Person Syndrome which has autoimmune disease-like features. Dion posted a video on Instagram as she spoke directly to her fans describing her situation. She looked distraught as she spoke about how she has been away from the public eye dealing with her condition, she had been facing spasms that affects her daily life. She is unable to sing like she used to and announces the postponement of Spring 2023 shows to 2024. She also wrote, "I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through…It hurts me to tell you that I won’t be ready to restart my tour in Europe in February."

Google Announces Most Searched Words In 2022

Everybody remembers the viral word game on Google called Wordle, it turns out that the same word becomes the most searched term this year. The list follows with India vs England, Ukraine and Queen Elizabeth. The game wordle was created by Josh Wardle and later bought by The New York Times. This year people seemed to have searched quite a few Cricket World Cup-related terms like India vs England, Ind vs SA, World Cup and India vs West Indies, all of which belong to the top 10 searched words. The death of Queen Elizabeth marked an important event in history. One of the most-watched web shows of 2022 was Jeffrey Dahmer on Netflix making it one of the top 10 searched words.

Iranian Women Protesters Being Shot In The Face, Breasts And Genitals

Recent reports suggest that the Iranian forces have shot the women protesters in their private parts. Reportedly the medical team revealed they noticed that the injured women protesters came in with very different wounds compared to the men who got shot in their legs, buttocks or backs. An Iranian physician told The Guardian, "I treated a woman in her early 20s, who was shot in her genitals by two pellets. Ten other pellets were lodged in her inner thigh. These 10 pellets were easily removed, but those two pellets were a challenge, because they were wedged in between her urethra and vaginal opening."

Ram Gopal Varma Viral Video

A disturbing video went viral yesterday where Indian filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma was seen kissing actor Ashu Reddy's feet during an interview. The director is going to release his next film Dangerous starring Reddy soon and this video shared by both of them is a part of the promotions. The Instagram video shows that Varma is sitting on the floor in front of Reddy as he holds the leg and starts to kiss it. Reports say that he took her permission and it was his way of showing how women should be treated.
