Chise acting over studying Biological Sciences
Bollamma, who grew up in Bengaluru, completed her education from Mount Carmel, Bangalore in Microbiology. Even though her mother wanted her to be an engineer, she always had a passion for acting and therefore decided to pursue her dreams. In an interview with The Hindu, she said, “ I just wanted to be seen on television. My mom suggested that I study engineering. I told her I would rather be a good actor than become a bad engineer. I liked studying biological sciences but acting was my priority.”
Bollamma has so far worked in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. She says that speaking different languages has helped her immensely in performing better. She says that she likes to speak any language herself irrespective of how good the dubbing artist might be. According to her, she feels “incomplete” as an actor if she doesn’t dub for herself.
