The Telugu television and soap opera star Sarayu Roy was summoned by the police for making hurtful statements to the Hindu community. The actor recently appeared in Telugu Bigg Boss season 4 and gained popularity.

Roy dismissed the rumour of her being arrested and mentioned that "people will write what they want to write".

Who Is Sarayu Roy?

Sarayu Roy is a popular Telugu television actor who is famous for her shows like Parichayam, Gangwars. She is an engineer and did her graduation with B.Tech in Biotechnology. She was later trained in Fashion technology as well. Sarayu Roy considers her elder sister as a motivation to enter the entertainment industry and terms her as "godmother".

In her reported interview, she mentioned her mother's doubt to let her enter the showbiz industry and she was even withdrawn from the Kuchipudi dance classes she used to take.

Roy is a popular YouTube content creator with her own channel by the name of 7Arts which has over 1.3 million subscribers. Besides, she has been part of many short movies as well like Carpool, Tholi Parichayam, Gangster, and Extra

Her famous show includes Telugu daily soap Ninne Pelladatha where she starred along with Bhoomi Shetty and Anusha Hegde in the main roles. Before starting the Big Boss Telugu Season 4, she always played the role of online reviewer. Her biggest dream was to enter Annapurna Studios, and with Bigg Boss she realised her dream turning into reality. 

One of her videos Sarayu Clinic Lo Pellichoopulu gained her popularity among the Telugu audience. However, the actor was served notice by the Banjara Hills Police Station for her explicit statement allegedly insulting Hindu gods and their followers. The President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) lodged a complaint against her for demeaning the community and making fun on a public platform.

In an interview with ETimes TV, after dismissing the rumors of being arrested, she said- " I have come to the police station to meet the complainant and know what the real problem is."
