Who Is Prativa Mohapatra: Adobe Inc. has appointed Prativa Mohapatra as Vice President and Managing Director for Adobe India. With this, she has scripted history by becoming the first woman to lead the global software maker’s operations in India.

Here's what you must know about Prativa Mohapatra

1. She pursued her BTech in computer sciences and engineering from Rourkela's Regional Engineering College. For her post-graduation in management, she went to Xavier Institute of Management in Bhubaneswar. She specialised in systems and finance there.

2. Mohapatra was previously working with IBM as the vice president of digital sales for APAC. She also led the sales department for IBM India and South Asia where the responsibility of driving revenue for the company’s portfolio of solutions and services lied on her. She commenced her career at PwC India.

3. She has been entrusted with the onus of overseeing the San Jose-based company’s India business and growth opportunity across three business units: Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Document Cloud. She will be reporting to Adobe’s President for Asia Pacific (APAC) Simon Tate, as per sources.

4. "Through the years, Adobe has been recognised for leading the way on driving a diverse, inclusive and equal opportunity work culture across the organization. In line with this, several senior-level positions at Adobe are today held by women—globally and in India,” according to a statement issued on Wednesday.

5. “As Mohapatra joins Adobe to become the company’s first female business leader as managing director in India, other countries in the Asia Pacific region where Adobe has female managing director director in India, other countries in the Asia Pacific region where Adobe has female managing directors include Korea and Australia.”, it added.

6. Nitin Singhal (Senior Director & MD-DX Business, Adobe India), Girish Balachandran (Director-Digital Media Business, Adobe India), and Vyshak Venugopal (Head-Solution Consulting, Adobe India) will report to Mohapatra.
