  • Anoushka Jolly is a Class 8 student of the Pathways School, Gurugram.
  • Five years ago, one of her fellow classmates was mocked at during a school function which disturbed Anoushka a lot. She started the social initiative to stop bullying and provide a platform for students as well as parents to report anonymously.
  • In an interview with Indian Express, she said, "I was motivated by a pressing need to do something about the issue when I heard people’s stories of how bullying impacted them and made them feel powerless and less about themselves. It made me more sensitive towards the cause. I decided to take some action towards eradicating bullying by raising awareness as no one deserves to be in that mental state. This led to the birth of Anti-Bullying Squad (ABS)"
  • She also came up with a mobile application called 'Kavach'. It permits students and parents to report incidents of bullying anonymously giving opportunity to schools and counsellors to tactfully intervene and take action.
  • Through the initiative, she built a strong network of anti-bullying ambassadors. Their job is to track the progress of those impacted directly or indirectly through the platform and application.
