The Washington 911 department received a call from a terrified woman pleading for help but all they could hear was a muffled voice. The woman was trying to speak but it felt as if her mouth was tied and she could not speak but only make noises. The department tracked down the location and reached her house but was unaware of what the situation was. The seven minutes the long call was allegedly from Young An, a 42-years-old woman who was tied up and abducted by her estranged husband to kill her.

53-years-old Chae An reportedly tied her wife Young An and tapped her mouth in the bedroom. When he left for a little while, the wife made a successful attempt of calling 911 with her Apple watch. However, because of her muffled voice, the authorities could not be informed about the exact situation. When the husband came back, she broke her watch, dragged her to the garage and threw her in his minivan. He drove past the police car that arrived in the neighbourhood after getting the call from Young An but neither they knew the identity of the person nor the case and weren't able to detect him.

Chae An took Young An to a wooded location where he stabbed her chest and buried her alive. An struggled to not suffocate in the pit she was buried in. Somehow, she managed to free herself from the duct after several hours of struggle and headed to find a nearby shelter. She reached a house in Lacey which is about 60 miles southwest of Seattle and banged the door for help. The sheriff's deputy arrived and the woman told them the entire incident that happened to her.

Chae An was arrested and found guilty of first-degree domestic violence assault, first-degree domestic violence kidnapping and first-degree murder. He reportedly tried to kill his wife because of a dispute over property and finances. The audio clip of Young An's 911 call is going viral and people are finding it shocking how she survived in a grave for that long.
