Railway staff saves child: A dramatic video from Maharashtra, where a railway pointsman can be seen saving a child's life, has gone viral and is winning hearts on social media. After the child loses his balance off the platform and falls onto the tracks, the staff member rushes to retrieve and push him back on the platform in time, as a speeding train rushes past.

Railway Staff Saves Child: Similar Incidents That Amazed Netizens
"Such visuals choke me and tear me up. Thank you, Superman," one Twitter user wrote responding to the video. "some people go beyond the call of duty because of such people humanity is still there in world," another said.
Several netizens tagged Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on the video, urging him to reward Shelke for his bravery. "Kudos for his bravery & courage! Now, this deserves an award and reward both with lots of respect. @PiyushGoyal," one user wrote, applauding.
Other videos of such incidents in the past have elicited similar dramatic responses from the internet. One of the most recent examples too comes from Maharashtra.
Earlier this year in January, a Mumbai Police constable saved a 60-year-old man who stepped onto railway tracks in Mumbai. Just as the train approached, the police official put the man back on the platform following it up with a quick whack both to the surprise and amusement of netizens. See video below:
