Reports revealed that a babysitter was detained on Tuesday in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, after she was caught on camera beating a two-year-old kid in the absence of the child's parents, according to police.
Rajni Chaudhry, 30, was arrested after the child's parents filed a complaint alleging CCTV evidence showing the babysitter assaulting the child.
The woman can be seen slapping the boy and pulling his hair while he appears groggy in video footage.
Viral Video Babysitter Assaults Child
When the child's parents noticed that he had gotten physically frail during the past four months and was normally silent, they thought something was wrong, officials said. They also took him to the doctor, who discovered a swollen intestine.
After that, the couple decided to install a home security camera.
Officials stated that when the couple saw the video records, they discovered that the babysitter, who had been recruited four months ago to look after their child, had been beating him on a regular basis.
"A case has been registered and investigation is underway, " they said.
The child's parents had hired a babysitter to look after him while they went to work. The parents placed a CCTV camera after noticing a shift in their child's behaviour and hearing what the doctor advised, only to discover that the nanny they trusted was severely abusing their son.
The accused attendant was seen thrashing the boy and dragging him by his hair in the footage. The police were notified, and the attendant was booked and arrested in accordance with applicable laws.
The parents of the two-year-old boy in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, had noticed a difference in their child for days. He became quieter and weaker. They finally took the infant to the doctor, who discovered that his inside organs were bloated and that he had been tortured.

Rajni was arrested and charged at the Madhotaal police station. The woman was eventually apprehended at her house by the police and charged under section 308 of the Indian Penal Code. The couple admitted to authorities that they never imagined the woman would torture their innocent child like this after hiring her for Rs 5,000 per month with meals.
In addition, on Tuesday, the video became viral on social media, eliciting an outraged response from netizens.
