The sudden demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput has deeply saddened all of us. Umpteen theories have come up around his death, most of which target the actor’s said girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty. She has been facing an unprecedented media trial, there is as if a witch hunt going against her. Recently some popular Bollywood actors have come out in Rhea.

Rhea Chakraborty and her family are accused of "abetting the alleged suicide" of Sushant Singh Rajput.  Rajput was found dead in his flat in Bandra, Mumbai on June 14.

Here is the list of women actors from Bollywood who have come out in support of Rhea Chakraborty.

Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan, the actress who was last seen in  the film Shakuntala Devi tweeted “Isn’t it supposed to be ‘Innocent Until Proven Guilty’ or is it now ‘Guilty Until Proven Innocent’!?”

Sonam Kapoor

The Zoya Factor actor Sonam Kapoor wrote in a tweet, "Blaming a girlfriend, ex-girlfriend, family, colleagues for someone’s death is ignorant and mean spirited.” There was a public backlash regarding the mentioned tweet.

Swara Bhasker

Swara Bhasker criticised the media for being toxic and even described Rhea’s media trail worse than the one on 26/11 terrorist, Ajmal Kasab. “Rhea is being subjected to a bizarre and dangerous media trial fuelled by hugely problematic impulses of mob justice,” she tweeted.

Taapsee Pannu

Taapsee Pannu supported Rhea and urged people to trust the law and the judiciary; prompted people to leave Rhea alone. Sharing Lakshmi Manchu’s tweet, she further added, "I didn’t know Sushant on a personal level nor do I know Rhea but what I know is, it only takes to be a human to understand how wrong it is to overtake judiciary to convict someone who isn’t proven guilty."

Shibani Dandekar

Shibani, a famous VJ and singer, came forward and extended her support towards her old friend, Rhea. She claimed she knew the latter, since she was 16 years old, hence also called Rhea her pillar of strength. Her elaborate post on Instagram said, "Her basic human rights are taken away as the media play judge jury and executioner!”

Zoya Akhtar

Zoya Akhtar, the Gully Boy director and producer, has reportedly signed a letter addressed to the NCW, urging them to take strong action against the cyberbullies and ensure the safety of Rhea Chakraborty. The letter even claimed that some news channels have reportedly released Rhea’s phone number which is a breach of her privacy.

Guneet Monga

Producer Guneet Monga has reported signed the aforementioned letter. The letter appeals for a free and fair investigation. The signatories mentioned how social media can pose a real threat to Rhea and how she has been facing mental harassment.

Lakshmi Manchu

Popular Telugu actress Lakshmi Manchu also strongly condemned how the media has been handling Sushant Singh Rajput’s case and vilifying Rhea Chakraborty. Her tweet was later shared by several others including Vidya Balan.
