The "Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World" will be attended by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex which will be taped on Sunday, May 2 at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. The mentioned concert will be aired on ABC, CBS, FOX, YouTube and iHeartMedia broadcast radio stations on May 8.

Prince Harry And Meghan Markle In Vax Live Concert And COVAX Program

The Prince of Sussex and his wife actor Meghan Markle are also reportedly raising fund for the COVAX program that focuses on vaccine-sharing and aims to pay for the vaccines for medical workers.

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will also appear during the broadcast as part of the "We Can Do This" initiative that will aim at increasing confidence in COVID-19 vaccines for the common people.

Other dignitaries to be present at the Selena Gomez hosted and Jennifer Lopez headlined concert include French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.

The performers include Eddie Vedder, Foo Fighters, J Balvin and H.E.R. and the concert is to be hosted by Chrissy Teigen, David Letterman, Gayle King and Jimmy Kimmel. Actors Ben Affleck, Nomzamo Mbatha, Olivia Munn and Sean Penn are also set to appear.

Global Citizen CEO Hugh Evans said that "As of April, 60 nations had still not yet received any COVID-19 vaccines and the event is part of a growing chorus seeking wider, more equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines."

Macron said in a statement, "Last autumn, I called for the sharing of the doses ordered by our countries, to ensure both solidarity and health security. With the European vaccine sharing mechanism via the COVAX initiative that France is inaugurating, we are in concrete solidarity in the fight against the virus, which does not care about borders."

He further requested all his colleagues to join the momentum and make a commitment at Vax Live.
