Kaylie DeShane from New York, US was pregnant with triplets during the pandemic. DeShane accidentally broke several world records and made some new ones of delivering her triplets in two different decades. While DeShane went into premature labour for one of the babies, she was rushed to the hospital where baby Cian was born at 22 weeks old.

Even though she delivered her first baby Cian on December 28, 2019, her other two babies of triplets had no plans to come out early. The doctors too wanted to keep the babies inside as long as possible in view of the first one's early birth. DeShane went into labour and delivered the other two babies on January 2, 2020. This gap of five days made the birth of the COVID-19 babies unique enough to make them a part of the World Record.

According to reports by Daily Mirror, DeShane's first baby Cian, who was born prematurely had only nine per cent of chances at survival. But ultimately, all three babies made it. DeShane's triplets - Rowan, Declan and Cian - are now 17 months old.

Kaylie DeShane and her husband were trying to get pregnant for four years. Ultimately, the couple decided to go for In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) in order to get pregnant. The couple already had two children, a son Holden who is seven years old and a step-daughter, Naveah, 12, but they wanted a sibling for them.

Kaylie DeShane on In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) said, "We decided to place two embryos rather than just one because we thought we would have a better chance of having a baby."

DeShane's children, Rowan, Declan and Cian are hence even more unique as they test-tube babies as well as babies born during the COVID-19 pandemic while being triplets. And the cherry on the cake was their world record of being born as triplets in two different decades.
