Woman's Body Found Inside Suitcase Near Yamuna Expressway, Was Killed By Father

On the Yamuna Expressway in Mathura, a young woman's body was discovered in a suitcase, according to Raya police station staff, who also remarked that she appeared to be in her 20s. Blood was detected on the face and head of the victim, which was discovered wrapped in plastic inside a large red suitcase.

In a new development, Uttar Pradesh police said that she was killed by her father and the parents have been arrested for her murder, according to the Mathura Superintendent of Police.

Nitesh Yadav allegedly shot his daughter dead, furious that she had "gone out for some days" without telling him. He was also enraged that she had married a man from a different caste and that she often stayed out till late at night, sources said.

Mahavan Alok Singh, the circle officer for the area, stated after the body was discovered: "In the morning, we received information about the suitcase in which a young woman's body had been found. Efforts are on to identify her. She was murdered somewhere, and her body was left here. There is a suspected gunshot wound near her shoulder; we will find out through a post-mortem whether it is a gunshot.”

Police are said to have alerted other police stations in case they have a missing person report that fits the victim to determine her identity. The body was discovered by the side of the road, next to an underpass, in the direction of Agra from the Mathura exit at Vrindavan.

The incident occurs precisely one year after police in Mathura found a black suitcase on the Delhi-Agra National Highway-2. A woman's body wearing a salwar suit, who was thought to be in her 30s, was within.

The crime against women is increasing and taking a heinous turn.

From 2012 Delhi rape case till now with Shraddha Walker nothing much has changed. Women are raped, harassed and murdered. In Shraddha's case, she was murdered and cut into 35 pieces. The accused dumped body parts across Delhi.

In another recent incident in Chennai, a stalker who was harassing a 20-year-old woman relentlessly proposed to her on occasion and sliced her face with a shattered beer bottle when he couldn't tolerate rejection. The woman had to have about 18 stitches on her face and ear.

An unidentified person shot and killed a 39-year-old lady outside Punjab's Bathinda bus stop. According to eyewitnesses, the woman was standing next to a parked car when a masked man emerged behind it and opened fire before running away.
