She has now become a frontline worker who will be engaged in saving the lives of all those who are struggling in the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. The union chemical and fertilisers minister took to Twitter to share his proud moment.

"My Daughter, My Pride! Disha, I have waited so long to see you in this role. I am filled with pride that you are rendering your duty as an Intern in this critical time. The nation needs your service and I'm sure you will prove yourself," he tweeted along with a picture of his daughter Disha who was dressed in a PPE suit.

Another leader named Amit Thaker, the ex-national president of the BJYM congratulated Disha Mandaviya for her contributions to the fight against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Mandaviya who was also the minister of state for ports, shipping and waterway tweeted that the government has directed all major ports to waive all charges for ships carrying oxygen and oxygen-related equipment cargo. The port chairpersons were also asked to keep an eye on all the berthing and logistics operations. In another tweet, Mandaviya gave an update about the 'MV Hai Nam 86' ship. The tweet said that the ship was carrying oxygen cylinders had reached Deendayal Port on the Gujarat coast.
