BK Shivani took to Instagram to share the news with everyone. “Om Shanti Angels ... Last night a very beautiful angel, a chosen instrument of God ... Sis. Kanupriya left her mortal coil and moved forward to another magical destiny of radiating happiness and health to millions of souls."

"She is a pure soul, caring, compassionate, selfless ... always a giver," she wrote. She then added that her sister would always be God's angel, and urged everyone to "meditate and radiate gratitude and blessings to her."She had been admitted to the hospital for the last few days and was suffering from a constant fever, and low oxygen levels.

Who was Kanupriya?

  1. Kanupriya was an anchor and actor.
  2. She had initially started her career as an actor, and acted in over 80 serials and 50 telefilms. Programs such as Bhanwar, Sur Sargam, Kahi Aek Gaon, Kartavya, Meri Kahani, Tumhara Intezar Hai, Tesu Ke Phool, Anaro, Ranjishen and Ab Aur Nahi.
  3. She also became an anchor on Doordarshan.
  4. The anchor then started working for Karmabhoomi, a TV show which was dedicated towards young leadership. Its main objective was to make the youth follow a path of self-improvement and decision-making. The show was also known to deal with issues like body image, mental health, feminism, etc.

The COVID-19 pandemic has also claimed the life of TV journalist Rohit Saradana on Friday. Sudhir Chaudhary, the Editor-in-Chief of a known news channel who informed about his demise. He breathed his last in Delhi, at the age of 40.

Subsequently, many top leaders such as PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and Rajnath Singh condoled his death. He was known for anchoring a popular show named Dangal that featured debates on current affairs. He was the executive news editor, and anchor of news outlet Aaj Tak.
