Tracy Beaker Fame Kay Purcell Passes Away At 57

Her agents, David Daly Associates took to Twitter to share the news of her demise

Actor Kay Purcell who starred in Tracy Beaker and Emmerdale died at the age of 57. She was suffering from incurable liver cancer.

Her agents, David Daly Associates took to Twitter to share the news of her demise. The tweet read, “It is with great regret that we announce the death of Kay Purcell at the age of 57.  Kay was a very valued client who had been represented by David Daly Associates for many years. We send sympathy and love to her family and friends.”

Just weeks ago on December 5, Purcell had shared on Facebook that she had been diagnosed with inoperable liver cancer and that she hoped to live for two more years. She is survived by her three children Shemar, Ashley, Shemar Indika and a grandson named Levon.

"In exactly two years I turn 60, with every will in the world I am going to fight to see my 60th birthday and I will raise one more glass of Rum with you all," Purcell had written on Facebook. She said that from that day on she will live her life to the fullest spending everyday living the best life she can. In 2017, Purcell had her battle with breast cancer.

She was born in 1963 in Leyland and in her lifetime she became part of many television shows. She played the famous character of Cynthia Daggert and Carmel Morgan in Emmerdale. Her other shows were Waterloo Road, So Awkward and the Celebrity Fit Club. She also had her own management company named Kay Purcell Management which she set up in 2009.
