TMC Female Member Allegedly Attacked By Workers Of Bharatiya Junta Party Youth Wing

Tripura: Trinamool Congress (TMC) claims that the workers from Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP)  and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morchain (BJYM) attacked one of their female student members in the police station.

The TMC has claimed that a female member of their student wing was attacked by the workers of ABVP and the BJYM at the police station. Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha is the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party. they also claimed that the workers of ABVP and BJYM had surrounded the area.

The founder of the All India Trinamool Congress and Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee going to be contesting the elections in the state of Tripura. The All India Trinamool Chhatra Parishad, student wing of TMS, is going to hold a rally on August 28. Arrangements for the same were made.

The student wing members had gone to the Maharaja Bir Bikram College in Agartala on Thursday with the idea of arranging the parallel event for the foundation day. After reaching there, a verbal spat between the BJP workers and the TMC student wing took place, according to reports.

When the TMC student wing members went to the college again on Friday the clashes between the BJP workers and the students reportedly turned ugly. The student wing then went to the police station to report this. According to the claims made by TMC, the BJP workers attacked the members of the student wing in the police station. The party of TMC has now reportedly sent Kunal Gosh and others to Tripura over the incident,

The SDPO, Sadar, Agartala, Ramesh Yadav said in his statement, “We’re talking with both parties. Situation under control. No one’s injured. We spoke to girl’s mother. (sic)”


In the previous incidents, Abhishek Banerjee’s convoy was allegedly attacked by BJP workers when he visited Tripura.
