Tiger Shroff's rumoured girlfriend Disha Patani too commented on Ayesha's video, complimenting the film producer on her strength.

In the video, we get to see Ayesha Shroff at a gym surrounded by trainers and her son, who watch the 60-year-old deadlift. Ayesha is seen raising the barbell gradually and then lowering it on the ground safely.

In November last year, a video of Patani pulling off tornado kicks on Instagram went viral. Ayesha Shroff had commented "Superrb" under the video, followed by several clapping hands emoticons.

In August last year, Shroff got involved in the nepotism debate, when she took offence with a comment made by filmmaker Anurag Kashayp. In a post addressing the debate on nepotism, Kashyap questioned the audience's desire to see star kids in the media. Sharing news reports on Ayesha and Jackie Shroff's son, and another one on Kareena Kapoor Khan's son Taimur Ali Khan, Kashyap wrote, "This is nepotism by media ..? Why?? Because this is what you the audience wants to see .. So isn’t it nepotism by you the audience too??"

Replying to Kashyap's tweet, Shroff wrote, "Yo! Don’t involve my kid in this!! he’s here on his own hard work entirely."

Kashyap then apologised to Shroff, adding that he "meant it for how media chases “Taimur”. Sorry to have hurt you . Just read this."

Ayesha Shroff is a former model turned film producer, who is married to actor Jackie Shroff. Together the couple has two children, son Tiger Shroff and daughter Krishna Shroff. Shroff is known to have produced films such as Boom, Grahan and  Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain.

Women challenging the stigma around age

Like Shroff, numerous Indian women in the recent past have challenged the stigmas around ageing in India, where it is related to fitness or fashion.

Earlier this month, 69-year-old model Rajini Chandy had tp face sexist and ageist remarks for a photoshoot, in which she posed wearing a short dress, de-stressed jeans and jumpsuits.

"I was called a slut. Someone asked me, ‘Haven’t you died yet?’ Another suggested that I ‘sit at home and read the Bible. This is your age to pray, not show off your body’. Yet another person said I was an old auto rickshaw and even if I got a new coat of paint, I’d still be old,” Chandy said, after her story went viral.

In July last year, an 85-year-old Shanta Pawar, lovingly known as "warrior aji" went viral after a video of her juggling sticks made it to social media. Actor Sonu Sood later helped the octagenarian find a place where she could conduct martial arts classes. "Till the time it is physically possible for me to do so, I will teach students my skills. I am happy to pass my knowledge to youngsters and am willing to do so till my last breath," said Pawar.
