Three Transgender Women Arrested For Robbing Pune Businessman

Trans women robbed a businessman: Three trans women allegedly robbed a businessman on June 5, they were later booked by local Pune police on June 7.

The three alleged robbers were remanded to police custody regarding the crime committed by them at the Mumbai-Pune highway on Saturday.

On the day of the alleged offence, the victim, identified as Swain William Ohol, was driving from Talegaon to Bhosari and was passing through a canyon along the way when the alleged robbers took the cue of attacking him.

The accused persons were identified as 33-year-old Balika Abadas Bhoge, 27-year-old Diya Baburao Sharma and 22-year-old Rahul Kailas Gaikwad and all of them reported to be residents of Pimpri.

The three transpersons were remanded to police custody until today and will be produced again in court next week. The complainant businessman owns a marble shop in the Bhosari area of Pimpri-Chinchwad. He was reportedly driving in a Tata Zest registered in Borivali, Mumbai when the three allegedly set their target on the approacher.

Transwoman Looted A Businessman: Police Reports

“One of them stopped his vehicle and approached him to ask for alms," police sub-inspector Mahesh Matkar who is investigating the case said,  "He gave her some money, but she kept asking for more."

According to the police statement in a report by the Hindustan Times, the accused and the victim got involved in a verbal spat after Ohol refused to pay more money. Following the protests, they physically attacked him and allegedly "pulled his (gold) chain". Later, he managed to run away from the spot after being scared of the spat.

Ohol reported the incident to the local police and they, in return, registered a case against the three. A day after the registration of the case, the police managed to find out the three. "We have recovered the money and the gold chain from them," the cops assured.
