'Tested Our Patience Since Decades': AIIMS Nurse Union Declare Strike From Oct 25

The letter stated that Unions sought the mentioned procedure after substantiating "no other amended solutions to the long-lasting grievances". The demands include a payment hike and protests demanding the same has been taking place for a long time.

AIIMS Nurses Strike: The Nurses union along with the Karmachari Union and the Officers Association declared a strike on September 1 commencing from October 25 over the decades-long demand for a pay hike. "We only received provocative classical bedevilment from concerned officials of these ministries which tested our level of patience since decades and the outcome of the same is this notice 0f strike."

The letter was directed to AIIMS Director Randeep Guleria and was signed by ANU General Secretary Farmeer CK, ANU President Harisha Kumar Kajla, Karmachari Union General Secretary Anil Kumar Dagar, Karmachari Union President Satprakash Kalia, Officers Association General Secretary Ramesh Sharma and Officers Association President Ajeet Singh.

— ANI (@ANI) September 1, 2021 also added that the staff engaged in multiple meetings with all the authorities. However, the results were not satisfactory. "You (the director) too is an evidentiary for the same." Hence, the unions now postulate for justice through the strike.

The indefinite strike was announced in accordance with the provisions contained in Sub-section 1 of Section 22 of The Industrial Dispute act of 1947.

Earlier, a group of Madhya Pradesh teachers went on to protest unemployment last month. Teachers sat for a strike outside a BJP office in Bhopal and according to some of the surfaced videos, the women performed sit-ups, laid on the streets, sat with rakhis in their hands to request the state to recruit them.

One of the protesting teachers, Vinita Sharma, stated that she was selected for the post of Samvida Shala Shikshak Class-1 three years ago but the appointment has not been received in the school still now.

Another teacher Manoj Rajouria said that they have appeared for state level exams more than 15 times. However, every time they receive assurances from ministers and officials, no action is taken, as per reports.
