More On Smriti Irani Debut Novel:

The book mentions an officer named Vikram Pratap Singh and the challenges he faced. Speaking about her book, Irani said, "The story has been brewing at the back of my mind for a few years now, until there came a time when I simply couldn’t ignore the urge to put it down on paper.I am hoping readers will enjoy the pace and the insights I have tried to bring to the narrative, which is set in a less-reported part of India."

The Union Minister of Woman and Child Development Smriti Irani has recently grabbed headlines for her statement against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. A few days ago, she hit out against Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's slogan ' Ladki hoon, lad sakti hoon' ( I am a girl and can fight) which she has coined for 2022 assembly elections in UP. Irani said, " Ghar pe ladka hai lad nahi sakta" ( There is a man at home who can't fight) taking a jibe at her brother Rahul Gandhi. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticised the comment on Wednesday.

She said, "Smriti Irani's comment on Rahul Gandhi that 'ghar par ladka hai par lad nahin sakta' (There is a boy at home who cannot fight) is wrong. Being a woman, such a statement is incorrect. Instead, she should encourage women by saying that they should fight for themselves."
