Sharad Pawar told media, "Yesterday, when I commented on the issue, I said that it is a serious issue. But at that time some facts were not in the public domain. I came to know that there were similar complaints against the same woman by different political leaders. So, it must be probed,” according to ANI. He then stated that he has full faith in Mumbai Police. Pawar further suggested that there should at least one woman ACP rank official probing the matter.

On January 14, Sharad Pawar had broken his silence on this matter and said that the allegations against the minister were very serious. He further added that the NCP would decide their further action after attaining more clarity and discussion.

When asked about the demand for Munde's resignation by opposition, he stated, "Dhananjay has put his side in front of us. He has not given any confession letter as of now. It is the opposition asking for his resignation. However, we shall take the necessary action after further enquiry and discussion."
