Actress Shabana Azmi is unhappy that the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadvanis made a 'deal' with Raj Thackeray in order to let the movie 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' release. “CM Fadnavis shows scant respect for Home Ministers assurance of safe passage for #ADHM. BJP better haul him up and demand explanation,” she posted on Twitter. The MNS had threatened to stall the release of Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil to protest against the presence of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in it.

"CM asked me about the solution. Karan Johar will display a slate of tribute for Uri martyrs before Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starts playing out on the screens. Producers guild should give us a written undertaking that no Pakistani actors will be cast in our films, Raj Thackeray said after the meeting. He also said that every producer who has cast Pakistani actors in their films should give Rs 5 crore to the Army Welfare Fund.
Home Minister, Rajnath Singh had already granted permission for the film to release. Shabana Azmi was angry that instead of enforcing the law, the Chief Minister felt the need to pacify the MNS.
What a sorry state of affairs!CM brokers deal n buys patriotism for 5 crores! After Home minister had promised peaceful passage 4 #ADHM
