World Theatre Day: Shabana Azmi Remembers Farooq Shaikh In Throwback Picture

Actor Shabana Azmi shares a throwback picture with Farooq Shaikh on World Theatre Day.

The black and white picture of Azmi and late actor Farooq Sheikh tells us of their love for stage plays and how Azmi along with her other teammates performed Javed Siddiqui's play Tumhari Amrita for a period of 21 years. Her Instagram followers showered their love for her in the comments.

Shabana Azmi was last seen in the 2020 movie Kaali Khuhi, a film that tells us the story of a 10-year-old girl Shivangi who must save her family's village in Punjab from the restless ghosts of its past. Azmi was praised for her performance in the movie. It also features Riva Arora, Sanjeeeda Sheikh, Leela Samson, Satyadeep Mishra and other renowned Bollywood actors.
