The BSF Seema Bhawani Shaurya expedition "Empowerment Ride-2022" is an organisational mission for empowering women. The expedition is called so because women troopers in BSF are called Seema Bhawani.

The riders in this expedition are from the All-Women Daredevil Motorcycle Team. Inspector Himanshu Sirohi told ANI that these women will be travelling across the country spreading the message of women empowerment.

In the video shared by the Ministry of Home Affairs showing the display by the team on Republic day, Anita Bharti was seen riding her bike while reading the India today magazine, which could be seen for twenty seconds in the video. At the time Sirohi has said, "It's not easy to ride a bike and perform stunts. We wanted to portray women empowerment- we ride bikes and also read India Today magazine. The magazine cover showcased women empowerment and that is why I decided that our teams should hold the magazine."

The Global Brand Head of Royal Enfield Anuj Dua said, "Our association with the Seema Bhawani Shaurya Expedition is in honor of our long-standing commitment to the armed forces and to enable them in their endeavours."

The team will pass through the major Indian cities such as Chandigarh, Amritsar, Attari, Bikaner, Jaipur, Nasik, Pune, Solapur, Hyderabad, Anantapur, Bangalore, Salem, Madurai and Kanyakumari. The final destination is Chennai, where they are scheduled to arrive on March 28, 2022.
