Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson is now officially married. She tied the knot with comedian Colin Jost in a private ceremony, following all the COVID-19 safety precautions as “directed by the CDC.”
35-year-old Johansson and 38-year-old Jost have been dating each other since 2017 and got engaged in May of last year. The Marvel star and Saturday Night Live (SNL) headwriter made an announcement about their nuptials on Thursday via an Instagram post put up by charity Meals on Wheels, a cause they're endorsing to help elderly people during the coronavirus pandemic, Reuters reported. The post features a picture of the Staten Island Ferry with the caption "Jost Married."

"Their wedding wish is to help make a difference for vulnerable older adults during this difficult time," the post reads further, requesting people to donate to the cause. A representative for Johansson also confirmed the news and according to entertainment website TMZ, the couple chose Palisades, New York, as their wedding venue.
Known for playing the role of Black Widow in Marvel superhero universe, Johansson was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds and later French journalist Romain Dauriac, with whom she has a daughter. This is Jost's first marriage.
On The Ellen DeGeneres Show in October last year, Johansson revealed how Jost made a romantic gesture while proposing to her and that "he killed it."
"It was a very James Bond situation. It was surprising. He's got a lot behind that news desk he's hiding," Johansson told ET Online. "He's very charming and very thoughtful and romantic. I was surprised, even if you imagine what that moment is going to be like, it's still, it's a beautiful moment. It was very personal. It was a very special moment and I think more than anything, when someone tells you they want to share the rest of their life with you, it's a lovely, special thing," she further added.

Johansson became one of the world’s highest-paid actresses after playing the Black Widow in The Avengers franchise. In two 2019 she received two Oscar nominations, for her performances in Marriage Story and Jojo Rabbit. Her standalone Marvel movie Black Widow is scheduled for a May 2021 release.
