Sarah Personette Resigns From Twitter
Sarah Personette's decision to announce her resignation from her post comes a few hours after Dalana Brand, Chief People and Diversity Officer at the company, also announced through LinkedIn that she would be stepping down. On Monday, Nick Caldwell, General manager for core technologies, confirmed her resignation as well, though differently - he changed his Twitter profile bio to 'former Twitter executive'.
She was responsible for Twitter's advertising sales business. She took to the micro-blogging site on Tuesday and shared the news of her resignation. She revealed that although she had submitted her resignation last week, her work only got cut off on Tuesday. "Hi, folks. I wanted to share that I resigned from Twitter on Friday and work access was officially cut off last night. It has been my greatest privilege to serve all of you as a leader and a partner. Many have heard me say this but the most important role I believe I played at Twitter was championing requirements of brand safety," she tweeted.
Personette further added that although the last few days have been uncertain, she spent her those days at the firm with commitment. She stated that she believes in the new administration, and has faith that they understand the importance of standing by the standards of the GARM (Global Alliance for Responsible Media). Appreciating her team, her colleagues, and the community she built the business with, Personette signed off expressing love and gratitude.
