#SAG2016: Indian Women surge in 80 km cycling

Indian women stay in full swing in many sports at South Asian Games ‘16. In their final day of competition, Indian women cyclists easily collected all the medals- one gold, two silver and a bronze in the South Asian Games on Tuesday. India started on with the first gold winning of the day when Indian cyclist Bidyaluxmi Tourangbam won in 2 hours 30 minutes and 55.350 seconds. Then Lidiyamol Sunny Menamparambil won the Silver medal while Geethu Raj NN clinched the Bronze one in 2:30:55.69 and 2:30:55.90 respectively.

India also identifies as dominance in cycling in the last edition in Dhaka where aces won 3 gold and one silver. Only 1 Gold and 1 Silver were fated to Sri Lankans.

On the other hand, in the Long Jump Indian Women also bagged Gold and Silver medal. Mayookha Jhony triumph with Gold, Shradha Ghule Bhaskar with Silver. Where Sri Lanka stays put with Silver medal.

India opened its first account with gold medal in Women’s Shot Put. Manpreeth Kaur from senior team won Gold and junior Manpreet Kaur grabbed Silver medal. Sri Lanka’s W.T.K. Fernando came third by winning the Bronze medal.
