As per the reports by the Russian news outlet RIA Novosti, a 23-year-old software developer Alexander Zhadan claimed that he found his wife on a dating app by using ChatGPT to analyse profiles and suggest conversation starters to filter out potential bad matches. Zhadan shared how he trained the AI bot like a pet to be suitable for taking life-altering bits of advice like dating tips.

Alexander Zadan, a 23-year-old software developer from Russia, claims he used ChatGPT, a large language model (LLM), to navigate the often-daunting world of online dating and ultimately find his wife, Karina Imranovna.

Zhadan shared how he used ChatGPT to segregate profiles to filter out potential "bad matches" and helped the AI bot construct some good replies and conversation starters. Zhadan claimed to have met around 5000 women in a year before finding "the one" with the help of ChatGPT.

It not only filtered matches and suggested some generic one-liners and replies tailored to him, but it also booked dates, made small talks on Zhadan's behalf, and eventually even ended up helping Zhadan to propose.

How ChatGPT Helped Finding "The One"?

Zhadan reportedly gave commands to the AI model about how to communicate and shared how initially since ChatGPT did not "know" him, it suggested some nonsensical replies. However, Zhadan did not lose hope and trained the AI bot to the extent that later it started understanding how Zhadan would give replies and soon began interacting with women just like him. 

Zhadan also shared how later ChatGPT used to also help him find those matches suggesting he should continue to communicate with them live outside the screens and internet.

Over a year, he interacted with an astonishing 5,000 women before meeting Karina, whom ChatGPT deemed his "perfect match." Zhadan continued to respond to this lady using ChatGPT as he shared that the neural network helped him where to take her and what to say in a given situation. 

Zadan's story doesn't stop there. He alleges that ChatGPT further assisted him in crafting engaging messages and even played a role in his romantic proposal to Karina at the end of 2023 suggesting they had a "strong" and "balanced" relationship. 

Zhadan shared she had no clue about the role of AI in their relationship and she only found out when they were submitting their applications to marry in a registry office and shared that his wife reacted "calmly" and expressed no concerns about the role of AI in their relationship.
