Genelia D'Souza and Riteish Deshmukh recently made headlines after they appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show where Riteish Deshmukh said, “I am proud to be known as Genelia's husband”. The couple left the audience awestruck with their mutual respect and love for each other.
Actress Genelia D’Souza took to her Instagram and shared the clip from the show and wrote, “You make me so proud @Riteishd. In a world where a woman has to keep fighting to be treated as an equal, I’m treated as one without even asking. I need to let you know I’m the proudest to be @Riteish’s Baiko (sic).”

In the video, we can see, apart from the audience Archana Puran Singh also applauding Riteish. D’ Souza pointed out through her post that in this patriarchal society women have to ask for their rights, but in their marriage, she never had to do that.
The couple started dating in 2003 after debuting in the movie Tujhe Meri Kasam. They tied the knot in 2012 and have been married for eight years. They are parents to two boys Riaan and Rahyl.
