Actor Ravi Kishan’s Daughter Ishita Shukla To Join Defence Forces

Agnipath scheme has opened gates for female candidates to serve the country in defence forces in large numbers. Recently, Ishita Shukla, the daughter of Actor Ravi Kishan, joined the defence forces under the Agnipath scheme. Ravi Kishan is also a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP. 

People took to twitter to congratulate Ravi Kishan and his daughter Ishita Shukla. Ravi Kishan thanked the people who shared and praised Ishita for the achievement. Twitter users congratulated the proud father and hailed the 21-year-old for choosing a different career path and not aiming for being an actor.

A user tweeted, "On one hand, many leaders of the country want to make their children leaders and make their future in the politics, on the other, respectable Ravikishann ji's daughter will serve the country." A second user exclaimed, "People like you who have all the comforts in life, sending your daughters to a tough job is commendable and worth emulating. Salute to the daughter who has chosen this path. Very very rare indeed. All the best to you, Ishitaji, and I salute you from the depth of my heart."

Another user also commented, "There was a time when the argument was do politicians send their sons & daughters in Army? Politicians only talk about Deshbhakti for votes etc. Today is the time we can proudly give examples of politicians like Ravi Kishan. Despite having all options in hand, Ishita chose ARMY!

In June 2022, the central government announced changes in the recruitment process of the armed forces. The Agnipath Scheme was launched on June 14, 2022, the age limit was extended for recruitment to 23 years from 21 years. The candidate selected under the scheme is titled as 'Agniveer' for a service duration of four years.
