Rakul Preet Is Telangana's Face For 'Beti Bachao'

In a bid to sensitize the masses about the need to save the girl child, the Telangana government has decided to rope in actress Rakul Preet Singh as the brand ambassador for the state’s Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao programme.

“Girls in our country face multiple challenges to achieve their basic education. We have to fight for our right to education because no matter what happens in life, education will help overcome all problems,” she said at an event organised by the Women and Child Development Department.

She also asked the girls to be more confident and think positively to achieve their goals.

She said that only women can be multi-taskers and they should take pride in their skills and use them, as reported by The Hindu.

Rakul Preet also propagated the message of respecting one's family as they sacrifice so much to keep their confidence high.
