Rakul Preet Singh Appears Before Enforcement Directorate (ED): The 30-year-old actor was spotted arriving at the ED office in tech city Hyderabad.

The Yaariyan actor arrived at the agency’s office on September 3. She was summoned as part of a money-laundering probe in connection with a high-end drugs racket. It was first busted in Hyderabad in 2017.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been set up by Telangana’s Prohibition and Excise department in the case. The agency has questioned around 10 people from the Telugu film industry in link to the drug racket. It is alleged that high-end narcotics like LSD and MDMA was being circulated and consumed. The case was busted by Telangana’s Prohibition and Excise department.

Since the racket was exposed over 20 people have been arrested including a US citizen, a Dutch national, a South African national besides seven engineers working with MNCs in Hyderabad. Several Tollywood personalities were also named.

Apart from actor Singh and Baahubali fame Rana Daggubati, Navdeep, Charmee Kaur, Mumaith Khan, Tanish, Nandu and Tarun have also been summoned. Teja’s driver Srinivas and another unidentified person working as general manager of F Club were also summoned by the ED. Earlier it was reported that Singh will be appearing for interrogation on September 6. Daggubati is reportedly to appear before the agency on September 8 and Teja will appear on September 9. Late in 2020, Preet Singh was named in the drug probe related to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. She was also summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sept 25th 2020 for questioning. As per reports she was named among the many personalities named by actress Rhea Chakraborty.

Actor Singh majorly works in Telugu and Tamil films. She debuted in Bollywood with Yaariyan. She is a Punjabi who grew up in Delhi and was also seen in Neena Gupta and Arjun Kapoor starrer Sardar Ka Grandson.
