PV Sindhu defeated He Bing Jiao in straight games to clinch the bronze medal at the Tokyo Games and become the first Indian woman to win two individual Olympic medals.

PV Sindhu scripted history on Sunday as she defeated He Bing Jiao of China to become the only Indian woman to win two individual Olympic medals. Sindhu defeated He Bing Jiao 21-13 and 21-15 within the trophy match. Sindhu was clinical throughout the competition and didn't give her opponent any chance within the match. Sindhu had suffered a heart-breaking loss to world no.1 Tai Tzu Ying within the semi-final on Saturday. Sindhu lost the semi-final 18-21, 12-21.

Sindhu’s meal plan is concentrated mainly on control of weight, hydration and therefore the recovery system through protein-rich foods.

Her breakfast is filled with proteins including milk and eggs. She also eats fruits within the morning. During training, she eats a snack in between sessions like dry fruits to stay her fresh and energised.
