Puducherry LT Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan: Dr Tamilisai Soundarajan, the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry travelled by public bus with locals to monitor the transport facilities in the region.
She was accompanied by her advisor Dr AP Maheshwary Thiru SD Sundaresan, Secretary.
Soundarajan first took a ride from Antonia Church bus stop to Thavalakuppam junction and then started from Abishegappakkam stop. While addressing the media, Soundarajan said that she travelled with the locals to learn about the facilities and their condition.
She then assured that the issues and grievances she heard from the locals during her travels will be resolved after the assembly polls in Puducherry. She said, " I did the travel along with people to learn the facilities and conditions. The grievances which I heard from the people will be addressed after the elections are over. in the meantime, discussions will be held with the officers to plan in this regard.
Soundarajan of BJP is also the Governor of Telangana. She was chosen by the President of India to serve as the interim Lt Governor of Puducherry after the former Lt Governor Kiran Bedi was removed from her position. Tamilisai Soundarajan is to remain as the serving Governor of Puducherry until a new appointment has been made.
The elections in Puducherry will be held in less than one month from now on April 6 and the votes will be counted on May 2. Read more about her here.
