Global icon Priyanka Chopra's wax statue has been recently unveiled at Madame Tussauds in London. According to the report in ANI, the actress has been very busy working with the Madame Tussauds team on the four-figure project at her New York Apartment in 2018. PeeCee's stunning golden avatar photos have been shared on social media by the team's official handle. They wrote,  “Apart from the World Cup, England just got even more exciting as PC's Madame Tussauds wax statue unveiled in London! So good.”

She is an actor, producer, singer, investor and philanthropist, and most recently Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People. Priyanka has been featured among the Most Influential Asians on Gold House’s A100 list, TOI reported. She is the first Indian star to get this prestigious title, second time round, as the list honours the members of the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. Our Desi Girl has been featured on the list, in 2018 as well.

Her triumph list keeps going up. The list features the most impactful Asian-Americans from all walks of life. The 35-year-old global actress joined the league of Comedian Hasan Minhaj, Killing Evestar Sandra Oh, Crazy Rich Asians actor Awkwafina and director Jon M. Chu and actor Darren Criss, celebrity chef David Chang, K-Pop group BTS and many more. She was also a part of Variety Magazine’s Power of Women – LA Impact list.

Priyanka, who never misses a chance to update on social media (she has a huge fan following), is roped in for Shonali Bose’s The Sky is Pink, set to release later this year. Avengers: Endgame co-director Joe Russo, who was in India recently, also confirmed that he is in talks with her for a project.

Last year saw the release of her first Assamese production, Bhoga Khirikee (means Broken Window). Written and directed by Jahnu Barua, an internationally acclaimed film director from Assam, the film was about showcasing the wonders the state possess. Priyanka producedPahuna, a Sikkimese film, which was recently screened at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Previously, Priyanka teamed up with Hollywood star Will Smith to star in ad-supported originals by YouTube.

The actress who always speaks about social issues had earlier said that even a star like her can’t ignore the pressure ‘glorification of trolling’ creates. Chopra said that it adds “crazy pressure” on entertainers, and she feels that the rapid culture of trolling celebrities can only lead to bullying and depression. “Those are the pressures that are not even created by us or the fans. It is just created by the one thing, which is the Internet. It has made people’s job easier… You can make a story out of anybody’s comment,” the Quantico star told IANS in an interview when asked about the pressure that comes with the tag of being a ‘global star.’
