Brandy Bottone, added that when the police officer didn't budge, stating that being pregnant doesn't count in this scenario. That the carpool lane must only be used if there are two people outside the body, Brandy argued saying, "Well, in light of everything that's happened, and I'm not trying to make a huge political stance here, but do you understand that this is a baby?".

Brandy Bottone has now vowed to take this to court to prove her point. She didn't dispute that she was driving in a lane meant for vehicles carrying two or more people. She simply believes that in the wake of everything, the law itself states an unborn child is a baby, thus she is not required to pay the fine for breaking the laws in the first place.

Bottone, angered by the Police officer's stance on the whole situation stated- "That boiled my blood, that not only did I get dismissed and didn't have a conversation about it, but I also now just wasted my time, and I'm going to have to waste my time July 20 fighting a ticket that I feel I shouldn't have gotten. " The Dallas County sheriff and the Texas Department of Transportation have refused to comment on this upstanding situation.
