Lovers Decide To Die Together, Man Gets Booked By Police For Not Dying

Two people loving each other has never been a good enough reason for them to unite and celebrate their love in public. The story of a man and woman in love with each other in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh is no different. Married to different persons and being stuck with them, they wanted to move out, settle again and start a new life. But when they tried to move out, social obligations pulled them inward. 

Much like a “hero” and a “heroine” in Bollywood, they decided to end their lives together. However, when the date, venue and decision to jump together in the Yamuna river were fixed, in a sudden twist of the plot and an uncalled and unwarranted dilemma, the man decided not to give up on his priceless life. The woman who took a plunge before him was shocked at his betrayal. Knowing how to swim, she swam out of the river and decided to teach him a lesson of sorts. 

Prayagraj Man Booked For Ditching Suicide Plan

Assuming the role of the Bride from ">Kill Bill, the 32-year-old woman, who was also the mother of a six-year-old daughter, lodged an FIR against his lover-turned-target 30-year-old Chandu, a resident of Jhunsi.

In the bizarre incident which took place on May 29, the matter was investigated further by the police. Santosh Singh, circle officer in the FIR lodged against Chandu, charged him with attempting to murder and damage the woman’s mobile. Reports have revealed that the woman was dating Chandu for years and some months back, she went to Pune with her six-year-old daughter. During her absence, Chandu got married to someone else without informing her.

Upon returning to Prayagraj on May 18, and after having fought over the matter, Chandu gave her the promise of marriage despite his reluctance. So, afterwards, both of them decided to die by suicide. Meeting on the New Yamuna Bride on May 29, the woman alleged that she had jumped into the river first without Chandu following her. Somehow, swimming to the river bank, the woman was admitted to a hospital by the Kydganj police.
