After a 62-year-old woman was hit by a two-wheeler, a police constable rushed to help her and carried her in his arms to the hospital as the ambulance arrival was delayed.
The video of the incident went viral on the internet and the netizens applauded the cop's quick thinking and empathy.
Police Constable Carries Elderly Woman In Arms
The Mumbai police officer is now winning hearts for his act of kindness after he rescued an elderly woman from an accident in which she was hit by a two-wheeler.
The elderly woman was reportedly going to meet her husband when a two-wheeler hurt her; as soon as the cop decided to not wait for the ambulance which was delayed due to traffic, and instead became quick on his feet and carried her himself.
Mumbai police took it to their X account to appreciate their constable Sandeep Vakchaure for rescuing an elderly woman who was hit by a two-wheeler while crossing the road. Vakchaure rushed to the incident saving her life as Mumbai Police X handle called Mumbai Police "Always on duty!" after the incident and then described the whole incident.
Social media users reacted to the news in different ways. While some questioned the culprit, some raised questions as to why the constable did not wait for a female cop to carry the elderly woman. Most people appreciated his act calling it a "great humanitarian initiative" and appreciated Mumbai Police for always going above and beyond their duty night and day.
While Mumbai Police is also famous for their impeccable display of wit on social media, there have been many incidents of kindness by the city's cops that make them one of country's favourite police sqauds.
