Police Arrests Three For Theft At Ganta's Daughter's House

Theft At Ganta's Daughter's House: The police have solved the break-in case registered by Ganta Sai Pujitha who is the daughter of Ganta. They arrested three men accused of the crime.

On further investigation, it came to light that the same men were also guilty of previous break-in cases. As the crime ratio has drastically gone up with the pandemic, a group of three men broke into the former Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao's daughter's residence. Ganta Sai Pujitha reported the break-in to the city police. It occurred when the whole family was away on January 10.

On Wednesday, the Police arrested Pendurthi Gowrish alias Raju, of Gopalapatnam, and Putta Bharath Kumar, Town Hall area, I Town. The third person was the receiver of the stolen property. He is identified as Kommuri Veerabhadrarao, Kurupam Market.

Stolen items worth lakhs were recovered from the three, said the police. Valuables, including gold ornaments and diamonds rings, worth around ₹4.62 lakh, were stolen. The stolen property worth around ₹4.49 lakh has been recovered from the accused. The police said that the main accused Gowrish was previously involved in 12 cases, including six in Hyderabad and three in Rayadurgam.

Ganta was a Human Resource Minister in the state of Andhra Pradesh. He represents the Telugu Desam Party. He was also a part of the Praja Rajyam Party which later merged into the Indian National Congress. Ganta is also a close associate of Chiranjeevi.

Similar cases of theft

In a similar case, a theft occurred at politician Sonali Phogat's house. Unidentified persons stole cash, jewellery, licensed revolvers, and cartridges from the residence of BJP leader Sonali Phogat’s house in Sant Nagar, Delhi. Sonali Phogat rose to fame after her wild card entry to the latest Bigg Boss season.
