Bollywood singer Palak Muchhal has entered the Guinness World Records and Limca Book of Records for reportedly raising funds to support more than 3,800 heart surgeries for underprivileged children across India. The Indore-born singer, known for her hits like “Meri Aashiqui”  and “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo”, has been recognised not for her music this time, but for her extraordinary humanitarian work.

A Childhood Promise That Sparked a Lifelong Mission

Palak’s journey of giving began when she was just a child. During a train journey, she noticed poor children wiping train windows for a few coins.

The sight deeply moved her, and she quietly promised herself that one day she would help children like them.

Years later, that moment became the seed for her foundation, which now funds thousands of heart surgeries nationwide.

Through her Palak Palash Charitable Foundation, she has turned her singing career into a lifelong mission to save lives.

She reportedly donates a significant portion of her concert earnings and personal savings to this cause, ensuring that no child’s treatment is halted due to a lack of funds.

Turning Music Into a Medium of Compassion

Beyond heart surgeries, Palak has supported families of Kargil martyrs and contributed ₹10 lakh towards Gujarat earthquake relief.

Her consistent work in social welfare has made her one of the few artists to combine fame with long-term philanthropy.

Standing by her side is her husband, composer Mithoon, who has been an unwavering supporter of her mission. Speaking about their shared commitment, he once said in an interview, “Even if there’s no show, no income, a child’s surgery will never stop.”
