Altercation On Live TV

When comedian Sherry Nanha asked the Pakistani singer about her honeymoon, little did he know it would lead to him getting beaten up on live television. Nanha said, "After we get married, Shazia, I will immediately take you to Monte Carlo for our honeymoon. Could you let me know which class (in the aeroplane) you want to attend?"

Offended by the question, Manzoor got up and started beating Nanha. She could be heard shouting that she warned him against asking such personal questions, even in earlier shows. "Last time I portrayed my act as a prank and covered it up, but this time I am serious. Is this how you talk with the ladies? You are saying 'Honeymoon'. Is this how you talk to women?"

The crew on set tried to disperse the altercation, however, Manzoor was uncontrollably furious. The crew told her that it was just a prank and urged her to calm down, but she refused. Host Mohsin Abbas Haider intervened and sternly reminded Nanha to stick to the script and avoid improvisation to prevent such incidents.

The singer stormed out of the studio and said that she would never return to the show again. The video of the altercation has been widely shared on social media. While some viewers expressed shock, others claimed that the video looked like a part of the prank. One X (Twitter) user commented, "What is happening in Pakistan? They're fighting on live television!" Another user said, "Probably, that has been produced or adapted for the stage and contrived for a desired impression! #Scripted".
