Operation Varsity Blues: Documentary On College Fraud To Release In March

Operation Varsity Blues: A documentary based on the real incident of college fraud in the United States will release on Netflix on March 17.

The documentary named Operation Varsity Blues is expected to uncover the bribery scandal that involved famous Hollywood stars such as Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin.

The documentary has been directed by Chris Smith. According to the makers, the film will reveal how Rick Singer got high-profile celebrities to pay their way to admission to the top college of the country for their children. The infamous case had also involved children cheating in their admission tests and their parents bribing university officials for admission.

Felicity Huffman famous for her role in Desperate Housewives and, Full House actress Lori Loughlin were among the main accused persons along with Loughlin’s husband and fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli and   Bill McGlashan. They are said to the clients of Rick Singer who conspired to the whole scandal. The college fraud case was uncovered in 2019 and it made it to many front pages. It reflected the gap between the first one per cent and the rest of the people in the country.

The director Chris Smith has headed into unchartered territory. His earlier work named Fyre uncovered the role of Billy McFarland behind the horrific Fyre Festival. He is also the executive producer of Tiger King, a documentary that took the audience by a storm when it released on Netflix. The producer for Operation Varsity Blues is Jon Karmen.
