The actor was recently seen in Ajeeb Daastaans anthology on Netflix. Bharuccha starred in the short titled Khilauna in the series. The series has been produced by Dharma Entertainment and the film starring Bharuccha is directed by Raj Mehta. The anthology released on the OTT platform earlier this year and won much praises from the audience.

Bharuccha played the role of a house help in the short film. The suspense thriller also starred Abhishek Banerjee and child actor Inayat Verma. The film took a dark turn in the end and left the viewers shocked. The other three films of the anthology were directed by Shashank Khaitan, Kayoze Irani and Neeraj Ghaywan. Actors such as Shaifali Shah, Manav Kaul, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Konkona Sen Sharma were part of the cast.

The official synopsis of the show read, “A twisted tale of lovers, a struggle for daily life, a calculated friendship and a journey to find solace… the film explores jealousy, entitlement, prejudices and toxicity. Blurring the lines between right and wrong, the anthology explores the complexities of human behaviour and relationships.”

The anthology was a mix of four different stories tied with one string that is love and longingness. The characters in the film are all longing for their rightful share of love.

A story titled Manju directed by Shashank Khaitan showed Fatima Sana, Armaan Ralhan and Jaideep Ahlawat in lead roles. The story revolves around three characters who have a rather strange relationship with each other.

The story of Konkona Sen and Aditi Rao Hydari is a unique one in this anthology, as it deals with the lives of two women who struggle to come out of the closet. While in Kayoze Irani’s story, Shefali Shah’s husband does not understand her and she finds love in a mute man who understands and cares for her. Read more
