'From Boardrooms To Playgrounds, Women Should Be Treated Equally': Nita Ambani

For girls to learn that they are equal to boys, they have to see that at their homes, says Nita Ambani on how they never differentiated among their three children who in the succession planning have got an equal share of the Reliance empire

Nita Ambani, chairperson and founder of Reliance Foundation and wife of Indian businessman Mukesh Ambani, championed women's rights in a recent interview. She spoke about women in sports, and women in business as she said "From boardrooms to playgrounds, women should be treated as equals."

Nita Ambani who shares three children with her husband Mukesh Ambani also talked about the succession plan of the Reliance empire among their three children, the twins Isha and Akash (32) and Anant (28), who are soon to be inheriting the three almost equal verticles of the company. Nita Ambani also gave some sweet insights into their family values. 

Nita Ambani In A Recent Interview:

Nita Ambani, a sports enthusiast, is also the first woman from India elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee, spoke in a CNBC interview about women in sports, women in farms and non-farm jobs, and women empowerment while she also talked about her rooted family values rooted as she spoke about her daughter Isha Ambani. 

Ambani talks about the Reliance Foundation and its work over the years in investing in child welfare, education, gender equality, and women empowerment. She also talked about the Foundation reaching every state in India to over 70 million people extensively focusing on improving digital literacy, education with skills to improve employability, and providing better healthcare to women.

Nita Ambani emphasises why it is important that women now receive equal opportunities as their male counterparts, as she talked about the nation's future on the shoulders of women, she opined nation's development depends upon women's empowerment and the well-being of its children and also the transformation using the sports could turn India into a developed nation as these are the three keys of a developed nation, opines Ms Ambani.

Ambani says how empowering women is "very very dear to my heart" as she also shares how it is now time that we treat our boys and girls equally be it boardrooms or playgrounds. 

'Sports Transcends Boundaries' Nita Ambani On Equality In Sports:

As Reliance Industries has invested vigorously in the sports industry, Mukesh Ambani is now the world's richest sports team owner. While Ambani co-owns a five-time winner of the Indian Premier League cricket team Mumbai Indians. 

Ambani shares her strong belief that sports are equal for boys and girls as she opined that children learn equally on playgrounds as they in learn classrooms she adds "sports transcends boundaries" reflecting upon Reliance Industries' investment in Sports. 

'Whatever My Sons Could Do, My Daughter Could Too' Nita Ambani On Reliance Succession Plan:

Ambani, a mother of three, reflects upon inheriting good values in children as she talks about the Reliance empire and her children. Ambani thinks for girls to learn they are equal, they need to see that at their homes first and have mentors to let them know that they aren't anything less than the boys.

Ambani adds, that she never differentiated between her three kids and states "Whatever my boys could do, my daughter could do too" adding that this has been added to the succession plan of the Reliance empire as well. 

As the three young generations of the Ambani family are all set for the leadership of Reliance company, the three children have been recently added to the board group for inheriting the three almost equal virtues of the company. 

Akash Ambani for digital/telecom, Anant Ambani for new energy business and Isha Ambani who is married to Anand Piramal, son of Piramal's Group is groomed for retail and still gets the equal shares of her father's company as her brothers, as the siblings prepare for taking over the three major verticles of Reliance group.
