Jillian Cannan, who received the packages without even placing an order, stated that she received so many boxes each day that the pile of boxes in front of her door reaches such a height that her neighbours could not see the front door of her residence, according to a report by the NDTV.

Cannan initially thought that her business partner ordered the parcels but when after learning that was not the case, she suspected a scam behind the bizarre incident. She even predicted the possibility of someone trying to clear out their warehouse.

Cannan, who started receiving the packages at the beginning of the month of June, said that she tried to contact the support service of the company and even posted about her situation online. However, Amazon was stern on Cannan keeping the parcels as "they were officially hers as they had been delivered to her address", the executives explained to Cannan.

What Was In The Boxes?

According to a report, the thousands of boxes contained silicone support frames to use inside face masks in both adult and children's sizes.

Faced with the task of what to do with thousands of mask brackets, she decided to create DIY mask kits for patients at the local children's hospital, tagging the bizarre incident as something productive.

Although the woman and her husband could not track the sender, the officials at the company were able to do so after quite some time. However, apart from keeping the already delivered packages, Cannan will also have to keep those that were in transit.
